Accessibility

We want every act, venue, agent and fan to be able to use this app, including with a screen reader, a keyboard, or zoomed in on a phone. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA.

What we did

• Every page has a skip link, real headings, and a label on every form field.
• Everything works from the keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• Text colors are checked by a script against the AA contrast ratios.
• Errors and saved messages are announced to screen readers.
• Lists turn into cards on a phone, so nothing needs sideways scrolling.
• No accessibility overlay widgets.

What we know is not perfect yet

• The app has not yet been tested by a person using a screen reader day to day.
• Flyers are images made by designers; the show details are always in text beside them.
